Enjoy the
restaurants, bars, discos casinos, water sports and golf. From Faro,
the capital of the province, all the way through to Sagres, the town
where Prince Henry established his school of Navigation, there’s
lots of interest in the area.
The gastronomy alone is worth visiting
the Algarve. Delicious grilled sardines are a must as is succulent
lobster and other steamed shell fish. Followed by a typical Algarve
dessert made of almonds and figs, all washed down with a scrumptious
wine from Lagoa and/or delicious arbutus-berry brandy.
Handicrafts: the secular
traditions are maintained in the ceramics, basketry, handmade woven
goods, hammered copper etc. offering a genuine souvenir of your
vacation
