Tomato Hurling Festival in Buņol (Valencia)

  • Held the last week of August (the last Wednesday) – between 11:00 am and 01:00 pm.
  • Village Square - wine and rolls -10:00 AM
  • Kind of Piñata game - 11:00 AM (climbing of greased pole)
  • Beginning of popular festival of the “Tomatina”

Absolutely necessary to obey the Festival rules:
It is prohibited to take any glass bottles etc. into the square, tear anyone’s T.Shirts or other clothing, interfere with personnel handling water hoses and water machinery and before throwing any tomatoes, please crush them in your hand previously, to prevent accidents.

At 1:00 pm everyone is cordially invited to help clean the village square
