Wine Stomping Festival

Festa das Vindimas - September - invoking the ancient grape harvesting techniques. Members of Folk groups dressed with traditional costumes enact the old traditions, dance and sing popular folk songs. Brass Bands play traditional music themes. A colorful parade travels through the streets of Curia.

Distribution of straw hats, tobacco handkerchief, cut shears and bucket.

With the workers, you will be served a typical harvest breakfast, composted of; onion broth, sardines baked in a slice of corn bread with olive oil

01:30 pm
Lunch is set with the workers. Summary varies daily and consists of soup and a plate of fish or meat, fruit and coffee. Water and wine.

Grape smashing in “lagares” where a Port wine is served.
