Visitors make there way to take in the spectacular stalagtites (downward) and stalagmites (upward) which adorn this natural wonder. On reaching the lake, there is an hourly concert of classical music provided by live musicians as they float along the lake on boats. A short boat trip for tourists is available. ISLAND TOUR
Palma - Soller by train(or return) from Port of Soller boat trip to la Calobra (or return) Time for lunch and some swimming (lunch not included). Return to Palma. On Mallorca you have the possibility of travelling in the only time machine that actually works and takes you back in time: The Sóller Railway. This railway has connected the city of Palma de Mallorca with the small town of Sóller since 1912. The train travels 27 km along its narrow-gauge track through beautiful scenery. Sa Calobra is one of the most spectacular nature formations on the island. Here you find vertical rock formations, a small beach and crystal clear water.

POLLENSA - FORMENTOR
Palma-Inca (well known for its leather manufactured). Pollensa and Port of Pollensa. Originally a fishing village, Puerto Pollensa retains the time old tradition of the evening stroll. On warm, balmy evenings everyone wanders up and down between the marina where the yachts are moored, past the pavement cafes and along the famous Pine Walk as far as the elegant Illa D'Or hotel.

VALLDEMOSSA HALF DAY
On this excursion we visit Valldemossa, one of the most beautiful villages on the island. The monastery is famous for having played host to the Polish musician Frederick Chopin and the French writer George Sand. Valldemossa is an old village up in the mountains. Here you find a monastery where the composer Chopin lived the winter of 1838/39. The houses are constructed of stone. It is well worth the visit to walk the streets and visit the museum. “La Beata” (the Devout) is the saint protecting the village.

LA GRANJA HALF DAY
Palma – Esporles. Visit to “La Granja”, beautiful stately home built in the 15th century a magnificent sample of the ancient islander's custom. Return to Palma at 17.00 (5 pm). La Granja, a historical property located in the Esporles municipality, is well known since the Roman times because of the important flow of water from its spring. The moors, that dominated the island from the X to the XIII centuries, settled in the area and founded the Alpich farmhouse. Later, when King James I conquered Mallorca, he divided the island into four parts and Count Nunyo Sanç settled in the property. In 1239, Nunyo Sanç gave La Granja to the Cistercian monks who founded a monastery there. Two hundred years later, the monks sold the property to the Vida family, later the property passed to the Fortuny family, who finally sold it to Cristòfol Seguí Colom, current owner of the estate. Nowadays La Granja is open to the public and holds an ethnographic museum and many different wild and domestic animals and birds.

Each of the islands has features that distinguish it from its neighbors.

Mallorca: enjoys a wide variety of scenery. In the Tramuntana Mountain Range, rising to close on 5,000 feet, in the shape of Puig Major, one can find picturesque towns like Valldemossa, Soller and Deia. Mallorca has beautiful beaches with attractive coves and perhaps is mostly famous for its Cultured Pearls. The capital city is Palma de Mallorca, an interesting town with the impressive Bellver Castle and the lovely Cathedral overlooking the water.

Ibiza: which forms the small Pitius archipelago, is the island lying closest to the Spanish Mainland. The capital city is Ibiza (Eivissa) often referred to as “Vila” is perched atop a promontory that dominates the entire port. There are many boutiques, restaurants and shops, of all kinds.

Menorca: is the 2nd largest of the Balearic islands. Although it is close to Mallorca, the scenery is distinct, as it is devoid of any true highland area. The south coast is made up of the barrancos or ravines; these are wetlands, which constitute microclimatic zones with fauna and flora, different from the rest of the island. The capital city is Ciutadella de Menorca.

The cuisine is Mediterranean. The “sobrasada” a delicious spicy red sausage spread made of finely minced raw meat, cured and seasoned with cayenne pepper and paprika. For the sweet lovers, there is the “ensaimada” a wonderful pastry. Then there is the cheese and mayonnaise from Mahon, (the original “salsa mahonesa). Other dishes are the Mallorcan soups, full of meat, vegetables, bread and onions, and the “tumbet” a casserole of potatoes, peppers, egg plant and tomato sauce
